1. Ugh, I'm sorry but I don't offer studio sessions! HOWEVER, if that is what you are looking for, I can recommend some great photographers your way. Our session will take place outside and in a mutually agreed upon public location. I can shoot in Russell and Hays area no charge, any further and theres is a small travel fee.

The locations are most often a park, but I do have some other locations in mind if that’s not your style. We will usually try to choose a place that will give us multiple options for backgrounds during your session and that will provide us with some beautiful backdrops. If you have suggestions about locations, don’t be shy! Speak up! If the location wont work very well, I will let you know!

2. My style is a mixture of natural and posed photography.

I will try to capture a lot of photos of my subject(s) interacting, having fun, walking around, etc. I will also spend some time trying to use some posing ideas to get an interesting, yet more traditional family photo. You know, for the Christmas card your Grandma wants! If you want something else, feel free to ask! Input from you on what you want your resulting set of images to look like is very helpful to me when planning/conducting your session. I love when my peeps bring me their pinterest poses to better help me understand what you are looking for! Don't feel embarrassed to do your own thing out there either...sometimes those are the best!

3. Our session will usually last between 30 min-2 hours. (2 hrs or more especially seniors)

Honestly, I tend to run on the long side of this…it makes for a less stressful session if we give ourselves permission not to rush and to spend a couple of hours together. Depending on the type of session we are doing, we may be shooting at more than one location. (Dads/boyfriends, we know you are over pictures but it's time to suck it up for your significant other so buckle up!)  Most often we are at least covering a few spots within a large park and will want to allow time to get around. If I feel that we may not have gotten enough, due to lighting or drive time to different locations, (this is for seniors), we will schedule a second day shoot! Due to the length of some family sessions, please bring snacks (especially if you have little ones in your group) in case someone is hungry. Kids always love those snacks and bribe treats don't ya know!

4. The best time of day to do outdoor sessions is typically in couple hours before sunset or in the couple of hours following sunrise.

This does not mean that I never do sessions at times other than these, but I am aware that these times often come with beautiful light and I strive for that. No harsh shadows here please!

5. Get ready to laugh, snuggle up, and have fun!

I am known for making my clients snuggle and gaze into each others’ eyes and hold a kiss. or whisper something (hu-hemmm) into each others ear...That may sound silly, but I find that this kind of connection loosens clients up and makes them laugh. As far as kids, be prepared for me to make the weirdest most obnoxious noises. I'll probably be running back and forth tickling them or jumping up and down singing their favorite song all while tone deaf...

6. After your session…

You can first expect to see a sneak peek within a week. This will only be one to a few images, but will give you an idea of what you will see in your full set. we can schedule a day for you to come over and look at your gallery with "UNEDITED" images from your session, from there you will be able to pick out the select number of images from your package chosen. or if you wish, I can choose them! I will then hand edit those images and within a week to two weeks after that  (sometimes sooner) you will get an email with a link to your online gallery. From there, you will be given a 4 digit passcode and will be able to download your images in high resolution! Your gallery will EXPIRE in ONE WEEK from the email sent! Please watch for it! That's it! Easy peasy.
